St. Timothy Anglican Church in Fort Worth commemorates the life of Elizabeth II by scheduling a September 14, 2022 requiem mass for the repose of her soul.

St. Timothy Anglican Church in Fort Worth schedules a requiem mass on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 7 PM, to celebrate the life and work of Elizabeth II.
Elizabeth II, who was the Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms, and Supreme Governor of the Church of England, died September 8, 2022. Her reign surpassed any other British monarch, totaling 70 years and 214 days.

Elizabeth II and the Anglican Communion
Elizabeth II was Head of State in 15 nations other than the UK, many of which were territories served by provinces in the Anglican Communion.
The Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, regarded Elizabeth II as a faithful Christian.

A requiem mass, or in Latin a "Missa pro defunctisis," is a mass offered on behalf of the dead, offered for the repose of the soul.
